The portrait reflects human’s longing to show his significance in this life, and to force his offspring to remember him when he leaves. Through these paintings, I have tried to travel beyond real time. My target was not only to keep their figure known but to re-immortalize them, as if they were posing for me, sitting in armchairs that would fit for them.
